The dancer will perform at the Sphere on New Year's Eve
Anyma will make history as the first electronic music to appear on the Sphere. On Monday, the dancer announced that he will present his two Genesys album with The End of Genesys produced by Afterlife at the Sphere in Las Vegas on December 31st.
Anyma, the artist project of Matteo Milleri, interprets his Genesys and Genesis II projects across the country, including Coachella earlier this year. He will be reimagining the set for the visually guided New Year's Eve Sphere. (It will also mark the venue's first New Year's Eve event.)
Anyma announced the show with a 3D video of a giant robot bursting out of the venue's LED screen on Monday.
“I'm honored to be the first electronic artist to play Sphere,” Anyma says in a statement. “We are already months into developing the show and I can't wait to reveal to everyone what we have planned. It's only fitting that I end my 'GENESYS' era and make history at one of the most iconic venues in the world on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas.”
Fans can purchase tickets for the New Year's Eve show beginning July 23 at 9 a.m. PT, though they can register for access to the presale starting July 22 at 9 a.m. PT. Anyma is expected to announce special guests for the show later this year.
The announcement of the show comes a few months after the release of Anyma Genesis IIwhich included collaborations with Parisi, Iverson and Grimes, who joined him on two remixes of “Welcome to the Opera”.
The show from Anyma will arrive several days after the Eagles' Live in Concert residency concludes on December 14th, which opens on September 20th. (The group added more dates to the residency on Monday.) Dead & Company will host several more Dead Forever shows at the venue this summer with shows through August 10. Phish and U2 were the first two to play residencies at the venue.
