Pioneering electronic music producer Aphex Twin is releasing an expanded version of his sophomore album, Selected environmental works Volume 2.
The haunting collection, which was released in the spring of 1994 via Warp Records, is predominantly considered one of the most influential electronic music albums of all time. Aphex Twin, whose real name is Richard D. James, confirmed today a special reissue to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Released on October 4, the expanded version of Selected environmental works Volume II will be released on all formats, including CD, vinyl and cassette, for the first time. The renewed album will include two new songs, “th1 [evnslower]” and “Orco Rhubarb”. 19.53 Rev”, as well as “#19”, which was only available on vinyl but is now available digitally. Fans can also get their hands on a sturdy box set with four LPs and plenty of rare knick-knacks, including a booklet containing sketches of designer Paul Nicholson's original artwork.
