I'm fine with that, don't screw it up anymore it's supposed to be written with two yellow thumbs up emojis, one between 'it' and 'dot' and another at the end of the title, but for technical reasons we can't include the emojis on our site.
The album follows their 2021 comeback album, As the days grow darkerand their 2022 single, “Aphelion.”
Moffat said of “Bliss” in a press release: “It's about women who are terrorized on the internet. It's about cowardice and bigotry. It's about how we expose ourselves on social platforms while we hide alone at home. But you can dance to it and you!”.
As the days grow darker was Arab Strap's first album in nearly 16 years (stream here). Also, read our album review and My Firsts interview with Middleton. The album made the list of the top 100 albums of 2021.
The band's album before As the days grow darker it was 2005 The last romance. Arab Strap were interviewed on Under the radarthe first print issue of 2001, for The Red Threadan album released the same year.
Arab Strap recently toured in honor of the 25th anniversary of their 1998 album Philophobia, but we can't wait to perform the more energetic songs from the new album. “THE [Philophobia] The tour was fun, but I'll be glad it's over so we can move on,” says Middleton.
Moffat adds: “H Philophobia The concerts were a way to say goodbye to our old ones. It's been a very mellow, quiet tour, so I expect this year we'll just play banger after banger—I think we've earned the right to make some noise now.”
