Architects have announced a new album titled Heaven, earth and everything elsewhose launch is scheduled for February 28. Ahead of the band's eleventh studio LP, the UK metalcore band have unveiled new single “Whiplash.”
“Whiplash” is the third single from Heaven, earth and everything elseas previous standalone singles “Seeing Red” and “Curse” are part of the album's 12-song tracklist.
The new song was produced by former Bring Me the Horizon member Jordan Fish. According to drummer Dan Searle, “'Whiplash' marks the beginning of a new era for Architects. It is a song that talks about tribalism, about an ever-deepening abyss that exists between human beings based simply on opinions and beliefs.”
He continued, “It gave us the opportunity to explore these concepts in a way we hadn't before and, for the first time in a long time, gave us fuel to write something truly fierce.”
Singer Sam Carter added: “We're so happy to be back and releasing a song we love so much, it's us at our best and we think it's going to be a fan favourite.”
The Architects have toured tirelessly over the past year, including opening shows for Metallica, as well as appearances at Louder Than Life, Aftershock and other major rock festivals. It was recently announced that they will be supporting Linkin Park at four shows in Germany in 2025.
