Bowen Young and Ariana Grande took advantage of the presence of the iconic Stevie Nicks.
In a new promo for the upcoming October 12 episode of Saturday Night LiveGrande and Young discuss Grande's return as host of the sketch comedy series. “You know what they say, lightning strikes once, maybe twice,” O Bad the star says of Fleetwood Mac's 1982 hit “Gypsy,” hoping Nicks could sing along.
“You can't trick me into singing,” Nicks tells the crew, with Yang and Grande nodding before discussing how their weekend went. “It was good, you know, I climbed a mountain and came back,” Grande says.
“It's so funny, because I saw my reflection on the snowy hills,” Young replies, eventually prompting Nicks to complete the lyrics to Fleetwood Mac's 1975 classic, “Landslide,” by singing “And the landslide down me down.”
This weekend's stint will mark Grande's second time on the bike SNLfollowing her hosting debut in 2016. Following the release of her Billboard 200 number one album Eternal Sunshine earlier this year, the Grammy winner served as a musical guest on an episode of the Josh Brolin-hosted show in March and participated in two sketches, including one Moulin Rouge parody with Yang. Meanwhile, Nicks will be the musical guest for the first time since 1983. Fleetwood Mac has never appeared on the show.
