Ethan Slater and Lily J are now legally divorced, TMZ exhibitions.
The couple split last year, after which the Broadway actor began dating his own Bad co-starring Ariana Grande.
According to TMZSlater and his high school sweetheart – who have a young son – reached a settlement approved by a judge as of Thursday. Like all New York state divorces, the terms of the agreement are sealed.
Bulletin board has contacted Slater's representatives for confirmation.
The news comes about a year and two months after reports first surfaced of the Broadway actor's romance with the “Yes, And?” singer, whom she met on the set of Jon M. Chu's Bad films. Days after news of his relationship with Grande broke, Slater filed for divorce from Jay on July 26, 2023, after five years of marriage.
Meanwhile, Jay said Page six at that time: “[Ariana’s] the story really. Not girl for girl. My family is just collateral damage.”
The following September, Grande filed to legally end her marriage to luxury realtor Dalton Gomez, two years into their marriage, listing their separation date as February 20, 2023 in court documents. THE Victorious The alum and Slater have since kept a low profile on their romance, although the pair have appeared together on several occasions. In April, Grande supported Slater in his final Broadway show Spamalotand in June, the pair attended the Stanley Cup Finals together.
As for the public scrutiny she's faced over her relationship over the past year, the “7 Rings” star has remained diplomatic. Ahead of the release of her Billboard 200 number one album Eternal Sunshinerecognized The Zach Sang Show that negative attention presented “an insatiable frustration, an inexplicable hellish feeling of seeing people misunderstand the people you love.”
