Fresh from the release of his latest studio album Aspire, Armin Van Buuren supports the Ukrainian producer duo again ARTBAT on their latest collaborative single, “Take off.” Armin has been playing this in his recent sets and it's a deliciously dark outing for the trance legend. With mind-blowing production, epic build-ups, and a hard-hitting drop, this is sure to surprise and delight fans of both artists.
Originally conceived behind the scenes at last year's ASOT (A State of Trance) festival, ARTBAT got the ultimate seal of approval when Armin sought them out for a collaboration. Now that vision has become a reality and we, the listeners, are the direct benefactors of such a wonderful team.
“Collaborating with Armin van Buuren, who is a legend in the dance world, has been really special,” says ARTBAT. “We can't believe this collaboration hasn't happened sooner and we're so glad Armin asked us to do a collaboration that has brought something so special to our sound. It's been nice to explore and push the boundaries of both of our sounds. “It is an honor to have worked alongside a pioneer in his line.”
“ARTBAT's exceptional performance at last year's 'A State of Trance' festival sparked immense inspiration in me,” adds Armin van Buuren. “Even though I was immersed in album mode and immersed in a sound that is quite different from 'Take Off', its music generated a lot of ideas. I thought about the concept of 'Space Case' and how its theme, spoken word and trance stabs would harmonize with ARTBAT's unique sound. “It seems like this collaboration has been a long time coming and I am delighted that it is now seeing the light.”
