Audien turns eardrums into kaleidoscopes with their new single, “Living In Color.”
Out now on Armin van Buuren’s venerable Armada label, the producer’s latest dance anthem pierces a monochrome veil with a chromatic deluge of house beats and emotion. He’s joined forces with LA-based singer-songwriter Jeoff Harris, whose lyrics surrender to a love so intense it paints the world in hues never before seen.
The line “Waited all my life” is a confession of a lifetime of longing, condensed into a single desperate plea. Next, Harris belts out the song’s predominant lyrical grenade, a chorus that resonates like a mantra for lovers and colorblind alike: “You got me living in color.”
Production-wise, on “Living in Color,” Audien channels his roots to create progressive, energetic house music that you can feel in your bones. He paints brushstrokes with his uplifting synths, which detonate in incandescent drops with pigments of his signature sound that challenge us to listen (and see) beyond the monotonous hum of the everyday.
