Chicago impresario Nikos Karounos and his partners at Auris Presents Stuart Hackley and John Curly are opening a 750-capacity, 10,000-square-foot venue in Chicago's famed Bucktown neighborhood later this spring.
Located on the outskirts of the Lincoln Yards mixed-use development, Outset will be a live music-focused venue “designed to deliver the production value of a large-scale venue combined with the atmosphere of an intimate and intimate setting.” reads the press release announcing the venue. “Outset provides the perfect atmosphere for established artists while creating a new venue for emerging talent and, above all, will provide an unparalleled experience for Chicago's music fans.”
Auris positions Outset's state-of-the-art sound and production capabilities as a game-changer among the city's smaller venues with “a warm, fan-focused experience that will offer attendees elements not found in similarly sized venues.” The venue will be powered by d&b audiotechnik's XSL line array and powerful speaker system to provide fans with a full range of acoustic performance specially tuned for the live experience, spread across the venues main floor and retractable balcony.
Auris Presents also operates Concord Music Hall and Radius nightclub.
“For us, music is how we make memories. We're excited to bring more experiences, artists and moments to life as we add to the fabric of Chicago's music landscape for decades to come.” Hackley said in a statement to Advertising sign.
