Despite ruling most of the turn of the millennium, around 2014 the velvet suit fell out of the limelight. But Juicy Couture didn't start with sportswear. Founded by best friends Gela Nash and Pamela Skaist-Levy in 1997, the LA lifestyle brand was originally created to maternity clothes named Travis Jeans before changing his name.
The focus of Juicy Couture was “occasional luxury,” according to the founders. “Really amazing clothes that you could wear every day,” Skaist-Levi said in one Interview 2015 next to Nash. “We first designed a sexy v-neck top and that really took off, so we made it in 26 different colors. We made everything in Los Angeles, which was a big part of our success. It turned out to be very profitable because Los Angeles was our backyard.”
How did the Juicy Couture tracksuit become so popular? We can thank Madonna for debuting a custom Juicy Couture jumpsuit back in 2001. After the Material Girl wore it, the tracksuit started popping up everywhere with celebrities like Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez sporting velvet.

The OG Bling Velor Tracksuit is a throwback to the original design. The top and bottom are sold separately and come in a dozen colors, including classic hot pink, brown, red, black, mint, jade green, and various shades of blue. Sizes range from XS to 3X.
