While transitioning into a new project is never easy, Crenshaw has done so with the gravitas of a seasoned dance music veteran. Although his music may be completely different from his twisted Dirtybird house music as Claude VonStroke, he's tapped into something that feels just as personal. If his past success is any indicator, Crenshaw will be a mainstay of experimental bass music for years to come.
“I'm completely focused, connected and ready to go,” he said in an intimate op-ed written for EDM.com in late 2023. “I changed to my real name, Barclay Crenshaw, and got back to my bass roots and couldn't be happier or more excited than I am now.
