Bringing together some of Canada’s most eclectic electronic music acts and a host of acclaimed rising superstars, along with a deep mission rooted in community and respect, Bass Coast has just wrapped up another dazzling festival.
Bass Coast 2024, which took place from July 12-15 on the shared traditional territories of Nłeʔkepmx and Syilx in Canada, saw organizers put on what was arguably their largest festival to date.
Over 150 artists took to the decks at Merritt as the award-winning festival brought together sounds from across the genre spectrum. From drum & bass, dubstep and UK garage to techno, house and disco, there was something for everyone at this year’s Bass Coast.
Headed by The 2024 edition of Bass Coast, featuring EDM.com Class of 2024 pioneers Of The Trees and rapper Leikeli47, was a success. Performers also included Shiba San, Ivy Lab, Mat the Alien, The Librarian, OAKK, Machinedrum, The Funk Hunters, Lazy Syrup Orchestra, Sam Binga and many more. Ash Lauryn, Bakey and Breaka, Cinthie, Conducta and Danny Daze also made their debuts.
Throughout the four days and nights of the festival, this year’s theme, “Reflection,” was almost religiously honored. Grounded in the spirit of sustainability, “Reflection” encouraged festival audiences to explore the intersection of creativity and conscious consumption, focusing on three pillars: REuse, REpurpose, and REflect.
Bass Coast is already gearing up for 2025, with tickets available for its 17th edition from 11-14 July 2025 here.
