Drum & bass veteran BCee is back with a new album, These are the daysthe eighth in an illustrious career spanning more than two decades.
The vocal-driven album pulses with a vibrant, soul-drenched heartbeat, combining emotive highs with the bittersweet undertow of fleeting time. The founder of Spearhead Records beautifully explores the nuances of joy and struggle as they intertwine throughout our years.
Their melodies weave through liquid drum & bass with a quiet confidence, sometimes soaring, sometimes sinking deep into introspective grooves. Through standout tracks like “Straight to Your Heart” and “Hurt Each Other,” BCee bottles raw, reflective energy and reminds us that these days, whether happy or painful, are the only ones we have.
Speaking about the new album, BCee says he wanted to explore songwriting and drum & bass in ways his fans hadn't heard yet.
“Something new compared to my previous albums is that each of the tracks is a full vocal song featuring different vocalists,” he explains. “The title These are the days reflects a duality: celebrating the good times and at the same time recognizing that these are the only days we have. Whether you're enjoying life or facing tough times, it's about seizing the moment and making the most of it.”
