The remastered 3xLP set revives a rare edition Patient Communication originally released as a limited edition in 2009. Includes 12 bonus tracks—including rarities, a live version of Check your head“The Maestro”, B-sides and remixes — plus the lenticular cover, a slipcase and more. Last year, the Beastie Boys were reissued Hi Nasty on vinyl for its 25th anniversary, adding an additional 21 bonus tracks to the original tracklist. Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz's hardcore punk supergroup DFL also reissues their debut album, My crazy Lifethe same year.
Last year, New York City's Beastie Boys Square — the corner of Ludlow and Rivington Streets on the Lower East Side — was officially unveiled with the help of Ad-Rock and Michael “Mike D” Diamond. The historic site was once home to Paul's Boutique, the namesake of the Beastie Boys' pivotal second LP released in 1989. The store of the same name famously featured on the album's gatefold cover.
