It's been eight years since Meghan Trainor went on tour and the star is taking advantage Billboard behind the scenes of The Timeless Tour at its stop at Madison Square Garden in New York. She talks about what it's like to take her husband, Daryl Sabara, and their kids on tour with her, what she missed about touring, and more.
Meghan Trainor:
Don't do that on TikTok, damn it! Here we go. Damn! Do we really want to film this for Billboard? Here we go… It's been like eight years since I toured. I talk about it every night with my audience because I thank them for waiting for me. It's been amazing to come back and see the fans, and there are so many families that come out and make signs that say, 'I was here eight years ago and now I'm older,' which is crazy. me.
So we've been crushing it and my husband and I were like, 'Do we like this? Are we good at this? Playing MSG is a bucket list, definitely a dream come true. I still don't believe it until I get on stage.
My main goal tonight is not to cry. Don't cry. Today everyone treated me as if it were my birthday, and it was more important than going to awards ceremonies. They say, “Happy MSG Day!”
A day in the life of touring with me and my kids. We get up early with the babies. They wake up around 7:30-8 if we're lucky. We leave early. Daryl and I are going to the location because the kids have to take a nap at the hotel and then meet us at the location. I do vocal warm-ups on the way to the venue and at 4:15 I do the VIP sound check where I sing a song.
Keep watching for more!
