Benson Boone Eyes UK Top 10 with 'Beautiful Things'

Benson Boone is set to complete the leap from viral star to UK top 10.

The 21-year-old Washington native has three appearances on the Official UK Singles Chart, highlighted by “Beautiful Things” (via Warner Records), which last week peaked at No.11.

Prior to its release, Boone created buzz for the song by teasing it on TikTok and Instagram. Now, Boone is on the verge of his first hit, as “Beautiful Things” climbs to No. 8 on his midweek report.

Boone recently announced his upcoming album, Fireworks and Rollerbladesand his self-titled world tour, and unveiled the single last week Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Also on the rise is Bob Marley's grandson YG Marley, whose debut “Praise Jah In The Moonlight” (YG Marley Music) is vaulting 24-12 on the blast charts. “Praise Jah In The Moonlight” is co-written with Marley's mom, Ms. Lauryn Hill.

Critically acclaimed UK newcomers The Last Dinner Party are on their way to a UK album chart title with Prelude to Ecstasy (Island), their debut album. And a new chart topper awaits for their single 'Nothing Matters', which last week entered the top 40 for the first time and is forecast to climb further to No.19.

Topping the Official Chart Update is Noah Kahan's “Stick Season” (Republic Records), which reaches No. 1 for a sixth consecutive week.

Finally, Cat Janice is set to make an impact on the Official UK Singles Chart with 'Dance You Outta My Head'.

Behind the upbeat dance tune is a touching story.

The 31-year-old singer, from Washington, was diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare type of malignant tumor, in 2021. After going through chemotherapy and radiation, the cancer returned and released this song as a final tune for her 7-year-old son, shortly after his admission in a nursing facility. “Dance You Outta My Head” (Cat Janice) debuts at No. 74 on the chart explosion. All proceeds from the song will go to her son.

The official UK Singles Chart will be released late on Friday, February 9.
