It's another beautiful week for Benson Boone, as the American singer-songwriter enters a second week at the top of the charts with “Beautiful Things.”
Washington native Monroe, 21, had the most-streamed song in the UK as “Beautiful Things” (via Warner Records) notched 5.4 million plays during the seven-day cycle.
The midweek leader, “Beautiful Things” holds off Teddy Swims' “Lose Control” (Atlantic), 4-2 at the top spot and Beyonce's “Texas Hold'Em” (Columbia/Parkwood Entertainment) is unchanged at No. 3.
The highest new entry in the most recent Official UK Singles Chart, out on Friday, March 29, joins Future and Metro Boomin's “Like That” (Epic/Freebandz), new at No. 6. This is Future's third single and Metro Boomin's second top 10 single in the UK. “Like That” is one of three songs from We Don't Trust You numbers to impact the top 40, with “Type S**t” new at No. 18 and “Cinderella” at No. 20, both featuring Travis Scott.
Meanwhile, Irish singer-songwriter Hozier picks up his first top 10 single in 10 years, with “Too Sweet” (Island) at No. 8. Hozier previously cracked the top 10 in 2014 with breakthrough hit “Take Me To Church,” peaking at No. 3.
Olivia Rodrigo captures her eighth UK Top 10 single with 'Obsessed', off GUTS release Spilled. “Obsessed” (Geffen) is one of four “secret” tracks from the collection that appeared on various vinyl releases, the others being “Scared of My Guitar”, “Stranger” and “Girl I've Always Been”. The new song on the Spiled edition is “So American”, which debuts at No.24 for Rodrigo's 13th UK top 40 hit.
Finally, British Cypriot producer and artist Artemas (real name: Artemas Diamandis) scores his UK Top 40 debut with 'I like the way you kiss me' (Parlophone), new at No.13.
