Gasoline found himself back in the conversation after the controversy he has been embroiled in for years Eminem and described the beef in a recent stop on his set Drink Champs. During the conversation, Benzino appears to have an emotional breakdown behind his ongoing battle with Eminem, leading some to believe he was drunk at the time.
Benzino, reportedly 58, and Eminem, 51, have been taking verbal jabs at each other over the years with Slim Shady starting this year's jump on “Doomsday Pt. 2” from Lyrical Lemonade's Everything is yellow collection album. In this track, Em took shots at Boston music executive and his daughter, rapper Coi Leray.
Shortly after, Benzino fired back with “Rap Elvis” and was pressuring Em to retaliate verbally, but nothing has happened so far. However, during the Drink Champs chat with NORE and DJ EFN, “Zino comes clean and says he doesn't really have a problem with Eminem and would even welcome a chat, something he's expressed in the past.
“I have nothing against Eminem. He may rap, but I care more about us. I don't want to discuss it anymore,” he said. “My daughter came into the industry thinking, 'I have to be cool with Eminem because everyone is against my dad.'
For those who witnessed the controversial moment, some expressed their concern for Benzino, while others hope that the two will finally move past their issues and have that long-awaited face-to-face conversation.
