Beyoncé continues to make history with her acclaimed album 2024, COWBOY PURSEthe extensive odyssey through country music that has already accumulated 11 nominations at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Even though Beyoncé was completely shut out of the 2024 CMA Awards and failed to earn a single nomination, she was named in all-gender categories at the 2025 Grammy Awards, which are scheduled to take place on February 2. In addition to the prestigious Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year categories, songs by COWBOY PURSE landed in country, pop, Americana and melodic rap categories. With this round of nominations, Beyoncé officially becomes the most nominated artist in Grammy history with 99 nominations throughout her storied career. COWBOY PURSE is just behind the record set by Michael Jackson Suspensewhich earned 12 nominations at the 1984 Grammy Awards. 11 nominations is also the most a woman has received in a single year at the Grammys.
Miley Cyrus, nominated alongside Beyoncé in the Best Country Duo category for their song “II MOST WANTED,” celebrated the news, saying: “Shotgun riders forever! I love you Beyoncé, congratulations on all your well-deserved nominations!
