The first Green Day song to debut Billboard The chart-topper was “Longview” in 1994. The track climbed to No. 1, becoming the first of 12 No. 1s today. And since then, they have left their mark on many others Billboard charts, including the Hot 100. The rock band has two top 10 hits, including “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” which peaked at No. 2 in 2005, and “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” which peaked at No. number 6 also in 2005.
The band has had three number one albums on the Billboard 200 chart, including 2004's. American Idiot2009 Crisis of the 21st centuryand 2016 Radio Revolutionwhich includes “Bang Bang.”
Green Day also celebrates a series of Billboard graphic records. They are tied with Foo Fighters and Linkin Park for the second most Alternative AirPlay appearances with 12, after the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and are tied with the Chili Peppers for fourth most Alternative AirPlay appearances with 37., have the third most top 10 and Alternative AirPlay hits in history with 25, and the second most No. 1 hits in Rock and Alternative AirPlay with seven.
