The Top Holiday Albums chart will continue to be published weekly until early January 2025, when it will shut down until the next holiday season. (The graph generally returns to Bulletin boardweekly chart menu every October.)
The Top Holiday Albums chart ranks the 50 most popular seasonal albums of the week in the US based on polymetric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units include album sales, track album equivalents (TEA) and streaming album equivalents (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 official paid/subscription on-demand audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. Leading the way on the new Top Holiday Albums chart is the soundtrack Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmasmarking its 16th non-consecutive week at the top of the chart. It earned nearly 11,000 equivalent album units in the US in the week ending Oct. 24, according to Luminate.
Dan + Shay's first holiday release, It's Official Christmas: The Double albumdebuts at No. 2 with 7,000 equivalent album units earned, with 6,000 of that amount coming from traditional album sales. Also new to the chart this season: Bing Crosby's new best-of, Absolutely Christmasat No. 6 with 3,000 units, alongside Jennifer Hudson's first holiday album, The Gift of Loveat No. 10 with 1,500 units.
As for the rest of the top 10, it's peppered with familiar favorites: Vince Guaraldi's Trio; A Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack (No. 3), by Michael Bublé Christmas (No. 4), by Mariah Carey's Merry Christmas (No. 5), by Frank Sinatra Absolutely Christmas (No. 7), Nat King Cole's The Christmas Carol (No. 8) and Pentatonix's Pentatonix's Best Christmas Ever (No. 9).
