Billie Eilish stopped by Late show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night, where he performed the first live performance in support of his new album, Hit me hard and soft. Teaming up with his brother Finneas, Eilish performed “Lunch.”
Eilish also sat down with Colbert for a three-segment interview, where she talked about the inspiration behind the album's title and cover, why she considers it her most personal project to date, and playing Coachella with Lana Del Rey. Eilish also named some of the vocalists he considered his biggest inspirations, including Lana Del Rey, Mariana + The Diamonds, Ella Fitzgerald, Chet Baker, and confirmed his interest in one day making an album of standards.
This fall, Eilish will embark on “Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour.” The extensive excursion will take place over 10 months on three continents and will stop in cities such as New York, Atlanta, Sydney, Paris and many more. Tickets are available here..
