Billie Eilish has more Hit with hard and soft teased her sleeve, the superstar teased a music video for her fan-favorite album track 'Chihiro' on Wednesday (June 5).
In the clip, Eilish can be seen running down a corridor. He revealed that the video will arrive at 9 am. PT on June 6.
“Chihiro”, which refers to the main character of the beloved Studio Ghibli film, Spirited Away, features a charming melody with Eilish singing in her signature soft tone: “Today, maybe tomorrow/ Open the door for me/ I know you said it before/ You can't take it anymore.” Eilish has long been a fan of Hayao Miyazaki's filmography and indeed he admitted jokingly to fall in love with the dragon within Spirited Away.
Produced as usual by the pop star's brother and longtime collaborator Finneas, the 10-track set marks Eilish's third studio LP, following 2019's When we all fall asleep, where do we go? and 2021 Happier than everwhich both spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. No singles preceded the project, with the 22-year-old singer telling fans at the time of the announcement: “I want to give it to you right away. ”
On the Billboard 200 chart dated June 1, Hit with hard and soft debuted at No. 2.
