Billie Eilish gives the people exactly what they want. After the release of her new album Hit with hard and softthe 22-year-old pop star dropped an extended cut of the second half of her single “L'Amour de Ma Vie” on Wednesday (May 22), and it's perfect for nights on the town.
Between the two selections, “L'Amour de Ma Vie (Over Now Extended Edit)” hits harder than softer compared to the original. Produced by Finneas, the new version completely cuts the softer first half of “L'Amour de Ma Vie” and jumps right into the feverish second half, adding an extra few minutes of programmed drums and electronic flourishes.
“DID AN EXTENDED EDIT TO DANCE TO CLURBBBBBBB TO!!! WOOOOOO!!!” the star wrote on Instagram after the track's release. “L'AMOUR DE MA VIE [OVER NOW EXTENDED EDIT]OUT NOW WWWW HEHEHEEEE🪩💥💃🎲🔆🍭⚡️☄️🫣”
Eilish also shared the cover of the remix, a close-up shot of the nine-time Grammy winner showing off two silver teeth with her tricolor multi-colored contacts on her eyes.
The addition comes just five days later Hit with hard and soft hit streaming services on May 17. On the day of the album's release, Eilish shared a '90s-inspired music video for her single “Lunch.”
“It's like the first time since I've come of age and maybe ever in my creative life … it's really the most genuine thing I've ever made,” he told Stephen Colbert of the project during a May 21 episode.
