For Black History Month, Billboard is celebrating by highlighting some of the greatest Black executives in music. And today we celebrate Top Dawg.
From Kendrick Lamar to our 2023 Woman of the Year, SZA.
Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith:
And you know, Top literally somehow always had this belief in me.
Tetris Kelly:
Behind some of the biggest artists in hip-hop and R&B is Top Dawg. Record producer Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith founded a label of the same name in 2004. A prolific producer, he won three Grammy Awards for his work with Kendrick and has become one of the smartest entrepreneurs in the business. Some of his biggest accomplishments under TDE are executive producing Marvel Studios' 'Black Panther' soundtrack album.
“All the Stars” earned him two Grammy nominations.
Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith:
And she kicks ass.
Rania's comments:
She really does.
Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith:
When everyone discarded us.
Tetris Kelly:
And he also launched TDE's first full recording tour, The Championship Tour. From discovering some of the best, selecting the best, and selling out tours, that's why we celebrate Top Dawg.
Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith:
TDE is back on top. It will always be there. I'm out!
