BLACK PINKJennie shows off her rapping skills in the new campaign for Beats Solo Buds in-ear headphones that dropped on Thursday (June 20).
“Music and self-expression are so important to me, so working with Beats was the perfect fit,” Jennie said in a statement. “I love my Beats Solo Buds. They are so cute and portable and allow me to immerse myself in music wherever I go.”
Beats Solo Buds – Wireless Bluetooth Headphones
The new Beats Solo Buds feature the smallest case Beats has ever made. The headphones retail for $79.99 and are available in matte black, storm gray, arctic purple, and transparent red.
Features include up to 18 hours of battery life, but a quick five-minute charge will give you an hour of juice. Beats Solo Buds are equipped with dual-layer drivers designed to minimize distortion and maximize hi-fi sound, while “specially positioned” drivers deliver sound directly to your ears and laser-cut air vents for improved sound performance and to relieve ear pressure for a comfortable fit.
The Beats collaboration adds to a list of collaborations for Jennie, who has worked with major brands such as Adidas and Calvin Klein. Last year, the 28-year-old star announced the launch of her own record label, OA, and the start of her journey as a solo artist. “As I embark on my solo journey in 2024 with a company I've founded called OA,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “Please show lots of love for my new beginning with OA and of course BLACKPINK. Thanks.”
Apple introduced the new Beats Solo Buds and Beats Solo4 headphones in April. Solo Buds are available at Apple.com, Beatsbydre.com and major retailers such as Better buy and Amazon.
In addition to the Beats Solo Buds' “portability, comfort and premium sound quality,” the ad showcases Jennie's rhyming skills. “Taken for granted/ Taken hostage / Carried the baggage/ Carried our past,” he raps. “As luck would have it/ The future was written/ They didn't plan to feminize women.”
