Blink-182 singer-bassist and co-founding member Mark Hoppus announced Fahrenheit-182his new memoir co-authored with him Betrayal author Dan Ozzy. The book hits shelves on April 8, 2025 via Day Street Books. You cheeky informative video in styleHoppus promises the memoir will deal with skateboarding, '90s music and the band's breakups, as well as his cancer diagnosis, which he has since been treated with chemotherapy.
“This is a story about what happens when an angsty kid who grew up in the desert experiences his parents' bitter divorce, moves across the country, switches identities from dork to goth to skate punk, and finally meets his coincidental best friend to be his musical soul mate”, says a description for the book. “Combined with the very human story of an ongoing battle with anxiety and Mark's public battle and triumph over cancer, Fahrenheit-182 it's a treat for fans and also a funny, smart and worthwhile memoir for anyone who wanted to give up but kept going.”
Hoppus isn't the first member of Blink-182 to write a book. Travis Barker has released his own memoir, I can say: Living Large, cheating death, and drum, drum, drumin 2016, and Tom DeLonge published the science fiction novel Triad last June. As for Ozzi, this is his second memoir with an artist, following 2016 Tranny: Confessions of Punk Rock's Most Infamous Anarchist Sellout by Against Me! singer Laura Jane Grace.
Earlier this month, Blink-182 released an expanded version of it One more time…the 2023 reunion album featuring the band's classic line-up.
