Boldy James and the Alchemist go together like peanut butter and jelly, like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, like a Backwood and an eighth.
Earlier today, they dropped a laid-back warm-up that will hopefully lead to another full-length project from Rap Game Isiah Thomas and Joe Dumars. “Ten Pints” showcases their undeniable chemistry, and the Dexstr8dope-directed video features Boldy ripping and running over a smooth Uncle Al production.
Lines like “Black Sicilian, stacked half a million of them Chia Pets/Real soft and mellow, I love my b-ch ghetto as Mia X/Rutched and knitted with the Chemist, tailor made, tailor fitted/Meal preppin', spinning the work up made do a pirouette,” cements the Detroit rapper's banner year as he's already released two critically acclaimed albums on Leadership penalty produced by Nicholas Craven and Beyond the tracks with Griselda producer Conductor Williams.
Boldy and Alchemist have collaborated extensively over the years dating back to 2013 My 1st chemistry set. Since then they have released three albums and an EP. They dropped song five Intense EP in 2019, The price of tea in China next year in 2020, and Bo Jackson and Super Tecmo Bo in 2021.
Aside from maybe Hit-Boy and Nas, there is no other rapper/producer duo that provides fans with this type of consistent quality. It's been three years since their last project, so they need to do another one.
Also, I think we should mention that his son, Bo Jack, is Boldy's leader and is featured in the video and even spits a line on “All Madden» from this duct tape.
