Manchester, Tennessee, may be known for its agricultural life, but Bonnaroo has become the city's cash cow after leaving a $339 million footprint in businesses and jobs.
This is according to a recent report from the Austin-based economic impact consulting firm. AngelouEconomy, who found that the 2023 Bonnaroo festival generated $339.8 million in revenue for the local economy. The event infrastructure also facilitated the creation of more than 4,000 full-time equivalent jobs and $105.5 million in labor income paid to regional employees, according to the study.
The report marks the first time organizers have studied the regional impact of Bonnaroo in more than a decade, according to the Tennessee.
The 2023 festival attracted approximately 80,000 people to Manchester's Great Stage Park, affectionately called “The Farm” by Bonnaroovians.
