Poison frontman Bret Michaels and country star Chris Janson will take the stage together for an all-new episode of CMT Crossroads premiering December 20 at 8 p.m. CT, with an encore performance at 9 p.m. CT.
According to the announcement, Michaels and Janson perform each other's biggest hits, including POISON's “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Talk Dirty To Me” and “Your Mama Don't Dance,” as well as ” Fix a Drink” by Janson, “Good Vibes” and “Buy Me A Boat”.
Michaels said, “CMT Crossroads with my friend Chris Johnson was a great list and nothing but a good time. We brought nothing but hits and an absolute game changer of fun, high energy and everything that can be the bigger, louder and more Good Time Fans. This will be an event that will make music history, so tune in on December 20th and get ready for the chance to see Chris and I on my “Parti-Gras Mardi Gras Tour ” in 2024.”
Janson added: “This 'Crossroads' is pure rock 'n' roll. What a joy to do this with a hero and friend Bret Michaels. Two good friends having nothing but good time, literally. Tune in and turn it up!”
“I've been a lifelong fan of Bret and, of course, POISON because that's the music I grew up with,” Janson said. “The experience was incredible. Just every second I was around him, especially when I was on stage. It blew my mind that it was actually happening.
“He already knew my songs and that was humbling for me,” Janson said. “I love him to pieces. It felt great, and I think, by far, it's one of the best Crossroads they've probably ever had, if not the best. It was so natural and real. There's nothing fake about it. Me and Brett are in there together . We're real friends, and I think it shows.”
The episode will air live on CMT.com and CMT VOD on Thursday, December 21, with subsequent premieres on CMT Music and MTV Live.
