Bring Me the Horizon have parted ways with keyboardist and programmer Jordan Fish, who is leaving after 11 years with the UK band.
Fish was an integral member of Bring Me the Horizon, joining in time to write and record their seminal 2013 album. Everlasting. He helped introduce a more melodic sound that saw BMTH evolve from their early deathcore years and reach legions of new fans.
Both the band and Fish issued statements regarding their departure, with BMTH stating: “Bring Me the Horizon has decided to part ways with Jordan Fish. We want to thank him for the musical journey he took with us and wish him luck in everything in the future. In the meantime, we continue working on [our upcoming album] NeX GEn, with new music coming soon. See you on our UK tour in January.”
Fish wrote: “I am truly grateful for my 11 years with the band and very proud of everything we have achieved together. I look forward to hearing what you do next and wish you much success in the future. “I am excited to begin this next chapter in my career.”
In total, Fish appeared on three albums, including Everlasting2015 That's the spiritand 2019 love. His contributions to the next album, HUMAN POST: NeX GEn, are not clear. The LP was supposed to arrive in September of this year, but was delayed to a new, yet unannounced release date.
As BMTH mentioned, the band has a UK tour at the end of January. This will be followed by a tour of Australia in April and an appearance at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas on April 27. A series of European festivals will then take place in June and July.
