Briston Maroney made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel live! this week to perform the song “Body” from his latest album, ultrapure.
Taking the stage alongside his band, Maroney gave a passionate rendition of the song, singing the chorus' refrain “Someday my body will be just a body” in all its anthemic glory. For the climax, he stepped back to let his guitar do the talking, playing a chaotic slide guitar solo over the band's energetic beat. Watch a video of the performance below.
ultrapure It arrived last September and is Maroney's second full-length release. His debut album, Sunflower, was released in 2021 and features the song co-written by Manchester Orchestra, “Bottle Rocket.” In 2022, she shared the singles “Paradise” and “Harvard” and last year she opened for Noah Kahan.
