Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson has announced a revamped lineup for his upcoming solo tour in support of his new album. The mandrake projectas well as a warm-up show scheduled for April 15 in Orange County, California.
The warm-up concert at the Santa Ana Observatory is actually the only US date on Dickinson's 2024 itinerary so far. It will precede a tour of Latin America that begins a few days later and a tour of the United Kingdom and Europe that will begin in May and run until July. Tickets for the Santa Ana concert will go on sale through Ticketmaster on Tuesday (February 20) at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmasterwhile tickets for international shows can be purchased bought here.
Dickinson also revealed that her solo band has undergone a change since she originally revealed the lineup. Guitarist and producer Roy Z is no longer available to tour, but guitarists Philip Naslund and Chris Declercq have been added to the band, which also includes Dave Moreno, Mistheria and Tanya O'Callaghan.
“Unfortunately and with regret, guitarist and producer Roy Z will no longer be joining the band on tour due to some personal commitments,” Dickinson explained. “He will remain in Los Angeles to work on some remixes and remasters of the catalog. However, we all know that the show must go on and this project is too important to everyone not to be the best it can be.”
He added: “I'm gutted for Roy because he put together most of the album and the band on tour, pitching the project to Mistheria and Dave Moreno and mentoring guitarist Chris Declerq. “I am very excited about what Philip and Chris will bring to the stage together and now my only ambition is to win a little piece of the audience's hearts every night.”
Regarding the warm-up concert, Dickinson stated: “We are not afraid to grow in public, so this show will be as close to a rehearsal as possible; It's exciting to think about what these musicians can do, and I will do it when there are over a thousand fans in the room!
Fans will also be able to see Dickinson when Iron Maiden embarks on a North American tour in October. Tickets for the legendary metal band's shows are available available here.
The mandrake project will be released on March 1 and features the previously released singles “Afterglow of Ragnarok” and “Rain on the Graves.”
