Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band kicked off their 2024 tour with a spectacular 29-song performance at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, on Tuesday night. It marked the band's first performance since Springsteen was forced to postpone the remainder of the band's 2023 tour due to a peptic ulcer attack.
Fortunately, The Boss now appears to be fully recovered (and, based on the screenshot above, still in much better shape than I am). The 29-song set hewed closely to the epic shows Springsteen performed toward the end of his career in 2023, including performances of “Night,” “Darlington County,” “Darkness on the Edge of Town,” “Spirit in the Night”, “Mary's Place” and “Backstreets”. Once again, the encore was particularly stellar, with “Born To Run,” “Rosalita (Come Out Tonight),” “Glory Days,” “Dancing in the Dark,” and “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out.”

Springsteen and the E Street Band will spend most of the year on tour. Their next date will be Friday in Las Vegas, before heading to San Diego, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
