After several R&B chart hits to his name, Bryson Tiller switches gears and lands his first top 10 Advertising signHot Rap Songs chart as “Whatever She Wants” debuts at No. 8 on the chart dated March 2.
In the February 16-22 tracking week, “Whatever She Wants” recorded 11.9 million official streams in the US, according to Luminate. Thanks to the sum, the track opens at No. 5 on the Rap Streaming Songs chart and gives Tiller his first appearance there. On the all-genre Streaming Songs chart, the new release debuts at No. 15.
Streams provide virtually all of the song's activity for the week on the multi-metric Hot Rap Songs chart, with minimal digital download sales and 322,000 audience impressions for radio airplay contributions for the remaining two metrics.
Tiller's new track debuts on the charts after its official release after a demo version was available for months on Soundcloud. The original “Whatever She Wants” appeared on Tiller's Soundcloud-exclusive Slum Tiller 2 mixtape, which premiered on November 9, 2023. On X's profile (formerly known as Twitter), Tiller wrote that, due to “popular demand,” the song was released widely by RCA Records on digital and streaming platforms on February 13 .
Elsewhere, “Whatever She Wants” debuts at No. 11 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No. 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 all-genre. In the former, the entry at No. 11 gives the rapper/singer his fourth highest position among his 25 visits. The new arrival follows only DJ Khaled's seven-week 2017 No.1 “Wild Thoughts,” featuring himself and Rihanna, and two 2016 hits: “Don't,” which reached No. 4 and ” Exchange”, which reached a No. 8 best.
