Storyteller:
BTS' Suga apologizes after being caught riding a scooter while intoxicated. Suga, who also goes by the name Agust D as a solo artist, is addressing his fans following an incident involving police in Seoul. He took to Weverse to explain the situation, saying, in part, “I violated traffic laws without realizing that I wasn't allowed to use an electric scooter while intoxicated due to the simple thought that it was within striking distance.”
BTS’s record label, BIG HIT, released a statement explaining that Suga was wearing a helmet and that no one or any property was injured or damaged during the incident. Suga went on to elaborate, saying, “While setting up my electric scooter at the front door of my house, I fell by myself. A police officer was nearby, and as a result of a breathalyzer test, my license was revoked and I was fined.”
Suga is currently serving mandatory military service in South Korea. BIG HIT added, “As a social service agent during his military service, he is prepared to accept any disciplinary action at his workplace for causing a social disturbance.”
We are glad to see that everyone is safe and wish Suga the best as he completes his military service.
