True love is where you find it. And sometimes you find it at a Deftones show in Las Vegas. In honor of her eighth wedding anniversary with Jelly Roll, Bunnie XO has released footage of the singer's surprise onstage proposal during a show by the band's “My Own Summer (Shove It)” that led to the Sin-of- their the-Moment. City wedding later that night.
“I get asked all the time, 'Where did you meet J?' When did you start dating? Are we going to see wedding pictures, are we going to see videos of you before?” Bunny said in a video posted earlier this week. So he made a compilation video with a bunch of never-before-seen footage that took fans on a romantic trip down memory lane.
The clip opened with the first time she met the singer in 2015, seemingly in a dressing room backstage at the show, with Bunnie admitting in voiceover that she had no idea why he was filming the scene. “I was just so drawn to it,” she said. They started talking to each other in February 2016 after she broke up with her then-boyfriend, and when Jelly went on tour with her friends at Cypress Hill that spring she said she flew out to see one of the shows to spend some “strict platonic » days on the road with them.
In July of that year things started to heat up when he visited her at home, as evidenced by a clip from their first makeout session. A month later, he said he proposed to her on stage at that Deftones show in Vegas. “How big a rock and roll is that?” she said.
In the video, Bunnie took to the stage as Jelly rallied the crowd and then got down on one knee and made a very signature proposal. “[I wanna know] will you be okay a– marrying my white trash a– tonight in Las Vegas?' Jelle asked. The answer, apparently, was yes, since the video cuts to the wedding ceremony later that night, during which Jelly said she wanted to spend “the rest of my life with you.”
Jelly Roll recently announced that his next album, Beautifully brokenwill be released on October 11th.
