Drake's Toronto mansion was the site of two incidents that involved police this week.
reports CityNews an attempted burglary at the Bridle Path property at around 2pm on May 8, with police returning to the residence just a day after a security guard was shot outside.
“Officers were called after a person attempted to gain access to the property,” a police spokesman said. “The person was arrested under the Mental Health Act.”
Police have not released further details about who was arrested, or any connection between the burglary and the shooting the day before. The shooting happened just after 2 a.m. on May 7, with the victim being taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A Google Maps image of Drake's home in Toronto appeared on the cover of Kendrick Lamar's track 'Not Like Us' aimed at Drake, part of a heated battle between the two rap titans.
The location of the residence was previously known in Toronto, with the home being featured in the video for “Toosie Slide” in 2020.
Police said it was too early to comment on a motive behind the shooting.
