Buscabulla return for their first solo single in four years. On Tuesday, the duo — made up of Raquel Berrios and Luis Del Valle — released “11:11,” dropping the track along with an accompanying video.
The song's title is a reference to the angel number that serves as a reminder that life is too short. “You have a purpose and you have to fulfill it,” Berrios said in a press release for the piece. “This is the new era.”
In the video, directed by Fish Rodriguez, Berrios cleans a dirty, fictional house, growing increasingly frustrated with the filth that has engulfed the space. When the clock strikes 11:11, soap falls from the sky and Berrios gets the power (and the right tool) to wash the room. After the song ends, Berrios poses for a photo in a now sparkling white room.
The duo produced the track itself, which was mixed by Rich Costey. “11:11” was inspired by the music they heard their moms play on cleaning days in their childhood.
Buscabulla will be released with three scheduled shows this summer. They will begin July 11th at Millenium Park in Chicago, July 12th at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles, and August 11th at the Ruidosa festival in New York. The duo will also throw a party in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on July 27 to celebrate the release of “11:11.” “Wait a minute, guys, pass!” Berrios said in a video promoting the LA show.
The new song follows Buscabulla's collaboration with Alex Anwandter, “Mi Vida en Llamas” last year. Their debut album, I regressedwas released in 2020, catching the attention of Bad Bunny, who featured them on Un Verano Sin Tiof “Andrea» in 2022.
