Calvin Harris' mastery in the art of four on the ground has crystallized in Billboard dance tradition.
Thanks to “Body Moving,” the prolific producer today broke the record for the most #1 releases in the 20-year history of Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, the outlet reported. Announced. A collaboration with Eliza Rose, who tops the US charts for the first time, the song is Harris' No. 1 hit and frees him from a tie with French hitmaker David Guetta.
Harris' first No. 1 on the chart was 2012's “Feel So Close,” which is now predominantly considered a generational dance anthem. Dance music artists on the next rungs of the ladder include The Chainsmokers, who have eight number one hits, and Anabel Englund, ILLENIUM, Tiësto and Zedd, all of whom have scored five.
“Body Moving” was released in November 2023. The effervescent and sensual dance track, which appeared on the iconic Ministry of Sound label, appeared alongside a vintage glam-inspired music video directed by Jeanie Crystal.
