Cardi B was the victim of a horrifying hoax when an anonymous tipster called Child Protective Services to her home, claiming she was abusing her three children.
Cardi took to Instagram Live to address the prankster early Tuesday (Oct. 22) from a hospital bed (she said she's been hospitalized since Oct. 19) while vowing to get down with whoever tried to mess with her family.
Bulletin board has reached out to representatives for Cardi B and CPS. The Grammy-winning rapper and Offset are parents to three children — 6-year-old daughter Kulture, 3-year-old son Wave and a newborn daughter they welcomed in September.
“I swear I'll get to the bottom of it. To pull a little prank on Child Protective Services to come to my gated mansion at 11 p.m. while my children are sleeping because there is an anonymous call that my children are being abused and beaten,” she said. “Are you dumb? That's when pranks start to go too far — when you — you think it's funny.”
She continued, “We're the only people of color in my neighborhood completely, and mothers show up at my house with cops and Child Protective Services because you mothers want to do an anonymous call with my kids.”
Cardi also defended that she spoils her children as she revealed that she sends Kulture to a private school that costs her $45,000 in tuition each, while a nanny for the newborn comes in at $700 a day.
“My children live a wonderful life,” he added. “My children have never been touched, never hit, no matter how annoying. I never hit my children. We take great care of our children. Never in your life play with my motherhood or my ex-husband's fatherhood.”
Cardi vowed to get to the bottom of it, saying she would be reaching out to her lawyer along with a pair of private investigators. He also threatened legal action against the CPS as well as “to sue the person who made this anonymous call”. She added that the person would be dealt with by her and sister Hennessy if it happened to be a woman, or Offset would be involved if it turned out to be a man who made the call to CPS.
“If you're a boy, my dad will crush you,” he said. “If you're a woman, me and Hennessy will beat you up for playing with my mom's kids.”
