Latin Grammy Premiere Ceremony Performers
The Latin Recording Academy has announced artists and hosts for its premiere ceremony, which will take place on Thursday, November 14, at the Miami Beach Convention Center and will be streamed live on Latin Academy platforms beginning at 1:00 PM ET.
The premiere ceremony will be hosted by Maria Becerra, Juliana and Luísa Sonza and will feature Ale Acosta, Valeria Castro, Alok, Fonseca, Leonel García, Grupo Niche, Draco Rosa, Rozalén, Vikina and Deorro.
“With an amazing lineup of performers, we will reveal the winners in 50 of the 58 Latin GRAMMY categories, showcasing the diversity of our community of creators across Iberian America.” Manuel AbboudCEO of The Latin Recording Academy, said in a statement.
Christian Nodal receives special recognition at Harvard
Mariacheño star Christian Nodal received special recognition from Harvard. Earlier this week, Nodal, accompanied by his wife Ángela Aguilar, was honored by Harvard-Radcliffe RAZA, a student organization that creates “space, visibility and community for Mexican students at Harvard University in 1972,” according to an official description of organization. The group awarded Nodal the Harvard-Radcliffe RAZA Trailblazer Award for “his impact on the globalization of Mexican local music, as well as his initiative to uniquely fuse local music with different musical genres.”

Carin León breaks records in Madrid
Mexican music star Carin León made his historic debut in Spain, performing at Madrid's WiZink Center as part of his Boca Chueca tour. Thursday's (October 31) show not only marked his first appearance in Europe but also broke a record. With an audience of 17,426, it surpassed Metallica's mark set in 2018, becoming the highest-attended event of the more than 1,200 concerts held at the venue.

Maluma launches Athletic-Wear line
On Tuesday, Maluma unveiled his new sportswear line, which he calls Remanence, during a fashion show in Colombia. The hitmaker serves as the owner and creative director of the brand, which was designed “100% in Colombia and focuses on responsible practices, using renewable energy sources and efficient processes in its production,” according to a press release.
“Music and fashion motivate me to move forward because that's where I can really be me, Juan Luis. they are different channels of communication but they really lead to the same thing, they go hand in hand and will continue to be, as long as I do music, I will continue to do fashion and vice versa because that is what motivates me to get up every day,” Maluma told a statement.
