Carín León celebrates the highest debut of the week Advertising signTop Latin Albums and Regional Mexican Albums charts (dated June 15) as Boca Chueca, Vol. 1, coming in at No. 8 and No. 5, respectively. The 19-track set is on track with 9,000 equivalent album units earned in the US in the week ending June 6, according to Luminate.

In Top Latin Albums and Top Mexican Albums, units include album sales, album equivalent tracks [TEA] and stream equivalent albums [SEA]. Each unit equals one album sale or 10 individual tracks sold from an album or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 official paid/subscription audio and video streams generated from songs from an album.
Boca Chueca, Vol. 1'The first week total is based almost entirely on streaming activity. That number equates to 12.05 million official audio and video-on-demand streams for the album's songs this week, with a negligible amount of activity coming from album sales and corresponding units.
With Boca Chuecathe Mexican singer-songwriter reflects his best performances to date on both charts: his fourth studio album follows in 2023 Colmillo De Lechewhich peaked at No. 8 and No. 5 on the top Latin and Regional Mexican Albums, respectively.
Elsewhere, León surpasses his previous all-genre Billboard 200 performance, where Boca Chueca debuted at No. 169, surpassing its No. 184 peak Colmillo.
On Advertising signThe set's song charts were preceded by one song on the multimetric Hot Latin Songs chart, which combines streaming data, airplay and digital sales: “The One (Per No Como Yo),” featuring Kane Brown, debuted at its climax. No. 29 on the list dated March 16.
As the album kicks off, “Despidase Bien” debuts at No. 29 on the current chart, largely on the strength of streaming activity. The song recorded 2.5 million official streams in the US in its tracking week.
“I think the song I relate to the most, a song that's a bit risque but we feel great in our desire to make music, is 'Despidase Bien', with its soulful undertones and it gives a refresh to our genre of R&B with its very local lyrics and with the mixing of all these kinds of genres and sounds that are a big part of the work that is Carin León,” adds León.
