Since her breakthrough song 'Jesus, Take the Wheel', Carrie Underwood has been open about how her faith is an essential part of who she is.
On Sunday (August 11), Underwood led a period of worship music, joining the worship team at Rolling Hills Community Church, a local church in Franklin, Tennessee. Underwood and the worship team performed Bethel Worship's contemporary Christian worship group “The Goodness of God.” The song, featuring Jenn Johnson, reached No. 15 Bulletin boardThe Hot Christian Songs Chart of 2020.
The impassioned worship song features lyrics that include: “From the moment I wake up until I lay my head/ Oh, I'll sing of God's goodness/ All my life you've been faithful/ And all my life you've been so, so good. “
Of course, Underwood has covered songs of faith throughout her career, including “Temporary Home” and her 2014 Grammy-winning song “Something in the Water.” In 2021 it was released My savioran album of classic gospel hymns.
