It’s been almost three years since South Park’s Trey Parker and Matt Stone signed a 14-special deal with ViacomCBS, and now, the latest fruit of the arrangement is on its way. Today, the first trailer for South Park: The End of Obesity, their seventh exclusive event for Paramount+, arrived.
As its title suggests, The End of Obesity sees the residents of South Park grapple with the rising tide of weight-loss drugs like Ozempic and Mounjaro, with Cartman taking a particular interest in the possibilities. When he’s denied access to the medications himself, the kids are determined to find a way, and go about “out-navigating the American healthcare system.”
The End of Obesity will begin streaming on Paramount+ on May 24th in the United States and Canada, and May 25th in Latin America and European nations. The film was produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, with Parker and Stone as executive producers. Watch the trailer below.
The previous Paramount+ special from Parker and Stone, South Park (Not Suitable for Children), debuted this past December. Prior to that, South Park: Joining the Panderverse arrived last October.
The release of End of Obesity will come a month before the 4K Ultra HD re-releases of South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut and Team America: World Police on June 25th. After that, South Park itself has been renewed through 2027 on Comedy Central.
