Cash Cobain shares how “Fisherrr (Remix)” came to be with a heavy emphasis on emulating the New York vibe with Ice Spice and Boy Swag. Keep watching to see how it all came about!
Cobain Cash:
Hey. What’s up? I’m Cash Cobain and this is how it went, “Fisherrr (Remix)” featuring Ice Spice and Bay Swag. The studio session had a lot of women and, you know, the beat wasn’t angry or sad, it just had a little vibe to it, a nice summer vibe. So I was thinking about a summer day, you know, one or two girls, you know. She’s got a little attitude, but she’s bad, you gotta keep it cool with her. Bay Swag and I were in the studio. We were in the studio. I called him up and I was like, “Meet me in the studio right now. I wanna have a studio session.” He was there before I got there. You know what I mean, so… Ice Spice was the perfect fit, you know what I mean. I don’t know, I just felt like we were all young, fresh, we knew the game. We were all kind of the same age. It made a lot of sense. You know, what I’m saying. She’s from New York. I’m from the Bronx. She's from the Bronx. I like the sounds that she was going for, like she was doing the whole, whole boat out there with some sexy drill. She was doing bad drills. So it was like, sexy drill, bad drills, you know what I mean. It's like they found each other. It was perfect. We weren't in the studio together. She sent the vocal back. She sent the vocal back, and I was like yeah, this is the one that's there.
Keep watching for more!
