Cash Cobain is on fire in New York right now. The Bronx rapper/producer's song “Fisherrr” has gone viral with everyone doing his signature dance, Remsky. However, virality can bring with it some unpleasant consequences.
His much-anticipated hometown show at the famous Irving Plaza set for Monday night was shut down before it started as hordes of fans and members of the media waited nearly two hours to get inside. (I was one of them.) There were rumors of Drake coming out as the special guest, which kind of explained the frenzied energy we felt outside as the crowd finally started to get restless. However, Cobain didn't let that bother him.

As police began to clear the stage, Cobain rounded up the rest of the Slizzyfest fans and led them down the street to Union Square Park for an impromptu show, where he rapped along with fans as some of his current hits played over Bluetooth . Speaker.
It doesn't get much more hip-hop than this.
On Wednesday (April 3), Cobain and his team released a statement exclusively to Advertising sign thanking his fans for their support and promising another one soon.
“To all my fans and supporters — thank you for coming out Monday night, we really tried to put on the best show in New York, but for reasons beyond my control, the show had to be canceled at the last minute. The show might have been cancelled, but I came out to the park because the fans wanted to see me. They paid money to see me and the kids, and I was out there, I was thrown — I had to do it. They had to see me. I'm sorry, I love you guys and everyone will get a refund. We are working to put something special for fans in the near future. Thanks to everyone who came out, I really appreciate it.”
Cobain has been gaining steam since his fall 2 Slizzy 2 Sexy in 2022 along with New Yorker Chow Li. Cash flips samples (often found on YouTube) to create songs that combine Jersey club and the drill to create his own subgenre that has been dubbed Sexy Drill.
