Chappell Roan calls this her “favorite music video” — and it's not what you think

Everyone has that music video they go back and watch over and over again. This certainly applies to Chapel Roanand her choice may surprise you.

In her post Instagram stories on Sunday (November 24), Roan shared a clip of “my favorite music video” — a Sims version of Lady Gaga's 'Paparazzi' music video. As the 2009 hit played over clips of Sims characters mimicking a remake of the iconic clip, Roan sang in the background.

As Lady Gaga's Sim version stands up to prepare her swashbuckling love interest (played in the original video by Alexander Skarsgård) a drink, Roan audibly declares that “this outfit is iconic” as she laughs with someone off-screen.

This isn't the first time Roan has shared her deep love for Gaga's work. at reception carpet at the 2024 VMAs, Roan singled out Gaga's “Alejandro” as the music video that changed her life, saying “I'd never seen what she did in the video.” She added that Gaga's performances at the VMAs (along with those of Britney Spears) inspired her. “It's just above and beyond,” he said.

The feeling is mutual. Gaga herself mentioned Roan as one of the artists she regularly listens to, along with Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and Kesha, in a September interview.
