Chappell Roan confronted a photographer she previously had an awkward encounter with on the red carpet on Friday (October 25).
Making an appearance on the carpet at the Netflix premiere in Los Angeles Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World tour The movie, which will be shown on October 28, “Good Luck, Babe!” The singer-songwriter pointed, “You,” and went straight to a photographer she recognized.
“You were so disrespectful to me at the Grammys,” she said, as seen in clips that made the rounds on social media on Saturday. The photographer who approached is not seen on camera.
“You yelled at me at a Grammy party, said Roan, who is no stranger to setting boundaries with those who approach him. “Remember. You were so rude to me. And I deserve an apology for that… You should apologize to me.”
Roan — one of Rodrigo's special guests on the Guts tour when the pair performed “Hot to Go” together and an opening act for Rodrigo's show in the past — spoke to another photographer on the red carpet at the VMAs in last month. When the person behind the camera yelled at the pop star to “Shut the f— up,” Roan replied, “Shut the f— up.” He wagged a finger and added, “Not me, b—-.”
On the red carpet for the premiere of the concert film on Friday, Rodrigo spoke highly of Roan in an interview with Billboard: “He really gives me so much advice about taking care of myself and being in an industry that's so overwhelming sometimes. I appreciate her very much. If I give her any advice, I'm not so sure. But I get a lot from her.”
