CoSign alum Chappell Roan made her late-night debut at The last show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday night (February 15), performing “Red Wine Supernova” from their excellent debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess.
The Los Angeles-based pop star's love for camp was on display as she began the performance sitting inside a giant neon pink heart. After taking the stage, Chappell Roan gave it her all to sing “Red Wine Supernova,” with eye-catching gestures to accompany the candid lyrics.
Ejected from the performance, the artist lay on the floor after completing the song, prompting an awkward, fatherly response from Colbert. Watch a full replay of Chappell Roan singing “Red Wine Supernova” on The late showbelow.
Later this month, Chappell Roan will go on tour to support Midwest Princess, interspersing her own headlining shows with support dates on Olivia Rodrigo’s “GUTS World Tour.” Following her appearances at Coachella and Hangout Music Festival, Chappell Roan will formally begin his “Midwest Princess Tour.”
